School Description
At Goodlettsville Middle School, our goal is to set high academic expectations for all children by providing supportive systems to ensure they are successful. By focusing on a positive school culture, setting high standards for teacher performance, and increased academic expectations for all students, we will ensure that all students are on track to becoming college- and career-ready.
We offer a variety of classes for students to take, including an array of advanced classes such as Integrated Math and Spanish for high-school credit. We also offer several related arts classes in which students can explore opportunities that interest them. These include Chorus, Band, PE, Art, Spanish and Technology.
Our school is one of only four International Baccalaureate middle schools in the district. In an IB school, students learn valuable skills that will help them in various ways throughout life. Our IB learners are risk-takers who are also caring, open-minded and knowledgeable.
Another strength of our school is our focus on incorporating technology into the daily academic life. Goodlettsville is part of a STEM grant that will help us focus on the sciences, especially with our female students.
