Multi Tiered Systems of Support - Academic (MTSS-A)
At GMS, we recognize the individualized needs of our students. When these needs are left unaddressed, gaps form in learning and endanger the potential learning that students can have in the future. This is why we take our intervention time very seriously.
Throughout the year, student progress is monitored and the data is used to decide which students need additional supports. The students identified are then given individualized and small group instruction to address those needs. We have several teachers in the building with the sole job of addressing these identified gaps. We have been identified as one of the fastest gap-reducing schools in MNPS largely because of this focus.
